Cellscape Now Has a Playable Demo
A quick update about Cellscape, more to come after Next Fest!
Hello everyone!
The last several weeks have been a whirlwind. I decided to register my game, Cellscape, in Steam’s Next Fest event. In case you’re new here (and if so, welcome!), Cellscape is a game I’ve been working on for the past year, which features microorganisms in a developing soil ecosystem.
Next Fest is a week-long festival that features demos for games that haven’t been released yet. For a solo, indie developer like me, it’s a precious opportunity to get a little extra visibility among the sea of other games on the platform.
Preparing for the event has been intense, and so much has happened over the last few weeks! I’ve been itching to write about it here, but the days have been flying by. Next week after the event ends I’ll be able to take a little time to recover and then write a nice juicy post about it all.
In the meantime, if you’re interested in trying the Cellscape demo, you can find it here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4359370/Cellscape_Demo/
If you play the demo and wishlist the game (if you like it) this week while the event is running until March 2, it will help extra with gaining visibility and helping it reach others who may enjoy it too 💕
I also finished putting together this new video yesterday:
So far my videos have only been straightforward gameplay clips. This time I tried making it a little more like a “cinematic trailer” with a hint of the real life story behind the project, going from simply observing microbes, to drawing them, and then building the game. I hope you like it!
That’s all for now, I just wanted to share this little post to say hi, and to let you know about the demo event while it’s still on.
I also wanted to say a big thank you for all the new subscriptions and follows since the last post. I appreciate every single one and I’m so happy you’re here!
See you again soon,
Kate

Good luck!
